Dermapen / Microneedling

Dermapen (also known as medical microneedling) is a device that creates controlled microperforations in the skin using ultra-fine needles at high speed. These microchannels activate the natural healing process: the body responds by producing new collagen and elastin, which improves the skin's texture, firmness and overall appearance. The result is skin that is renewed from the inside out, without the need for external substances.

What problems does Dermapen treat?

Medical microneedling is effective for a wide variety of skin concerns: acne scars (including atrophic-depressed ones), enlarged pores, fine wrinkles and loss of firmness, superficial blemishes, stretch marks, dull or dull skin, and alopecia (in combination with platelet-rich plasma or topical minoxidil). Its versatility makes it one of the most complete treatments in aesthetic medicine today.

The technique and boosting actives

Dermapen can be combined with the simultaneous application of active ingredients that penetrate through the microchannels created: vitamin C, growth factors, hyaluronic acid, signaling peptides or platelet-rich plasma (PRP). This combination multiplies results and accelerates recovery.

What is the session like?

Anesthetic cream is applied 30-45 minutes prior to treatment. The session lasts approximately 45-60 minutes. After the procedure, the skin has redness similar to a mild sunburn that subsides in 24-48 hours. Makeup and direct sun exposure are avoided for the first 48 hours.

Recommended protocol

For acne scars or intensive rejuvenation, 3-6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart are recommended. For young skin with pores or texture good results are obtained with 2-3 sessions. A maintenance session every 6-12 months sustains the results over time.
