PicoWay / Pigment Laser

The PicoWay laser is the next-generation picosecond technology for the treatment of blemishes, pigmentation and tattoos. Unlike conventional nanosecond lasers, the PicoWay emits extremely short pulses of energy - in the picosecond range (billionths of a second) - that fragment melanin and ink particles into microscopic powder by photoacoustic effect, with minimal heat on the surrounding skin. The result is greater efficacy, fewer sessions and less risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

What does PicoWay treat?

Spots and hyperpigmentation: Melasma, sun spots (actinic lentigines), age spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (acne scars), ephelides (freckles). PicoWay is especially effective on high phototypes (brown or Mediterranean skin) where other lasers carry a higher risk.

Tattoos: It is the treatment of choice for tattoo removal. Picosecond technology is more effective than Q-Switched laser on difficult colors (reds, oranges, greens, blues). The number of sessions depends on the size, depth and age of the tattoo.

**Resolve (fractional) mode of the PicoWay stimulates collagen and improves skin texture, acne scars and enlarged pores.

Treatment

Anesthetic cream is applied prior to the session. Duration varies from 15 to 45 minutes. Redness and swelling may appear for 24-48 hours. Strict sun protection is essential during the entire treatment.

Number of sessions

For superficial blemishes: 2-4 sessions 4-6 weeks apart. For tattoos: between 3 and 10 sessions depending on characteristics. Results are progressive and can be seen between sessions.
