Dark or hollow under eye circles

Dark circles have different causes: excess pigment, skin so thin that the vessels show through, or a hollow under the eye that casts a shadow. They often mix. Each type is treated differently, which is why a medical assessment of the eye area comes first.

How we approach it

  • Polynucleotides, for the quality of the thin eye area skin
  • Hyaluronic acid, for the hollow under the eye
  • Laser and medical skin care, for the pigment component

Frequently asked questions

Can dark circles be removed completely?

They can improve a lot, especially hollow ones and those from thin skin. Pigment and inherited ones usually fade rather than disappear. The doctor will tell you what to expect.

Do sleep and allergies matter?

Yes. Little sleep, allergies and rubbing the eyes make them worse. We review this in consultation, because treating only the skin without that gives a shorter result.

What happens at the information visit?

It is a first visit with the doctor, at no cost, where we listen to you, examine the area and explain which options make sense in your case. There is no commitment to start any treatment.
