Dull skin and lack of radiance

Radiant skin reflects light evenly. When dead cells build up, water is lacking, there are small spots or the texture is uneven, the skin looks dull and tired. Sun, smoking, stress, too little sleep and the years all play a part. In consultation we look at what lies behind it in each case, because the answer is not the same for dehydrated skin as for skin with spots.

How we approach it

Frequently asked questions

Why does my skin look dull?

The most common causes are a build-up of dead cells, dehydration, sun damage and tiredness. Several are often present at once, which is why the doctor should look at them together.

What is a medical peel?

It is the controlled application of a product that renews the outermost layers of the skin. Its strength is chosen according to the skin and the time of year, and the skin needs sun protection afterwards.

Can it be done before an event?

Some gentle treatments can, but it is best to plan ahead in case the skin is red for a few days. Tell us the date at the visit and we will tell you what fits.

What happens at the information visit?

It is a first visit with the doctor, at no cost, where we listen to you, examine the area and explain which options make sense in your case. There is no commitment to start any treatment.
