Cellulite

Cellulite is the orange-peel look that appears mainly on the thighs, buttocks and abdomen. It comes from how fat is arranged under the skin, from circulation and from the bands of tissue that pull on the surface. It is very common, also in slim people, and has a hormonal and genetic component. In consultation we assess the type of cellulite and whether there is also sagging or localised fat, because each is treated differently.

How we approach it

  • Carboxytherapy, for circulation in the area
  • Body radiofrequency, for skin firmness
  • Body mesotherapy
  • Cryolipolysis, when there is also localised fat

Frequently asked questions

Is cellulite fat?

Not exactly. It is related to fat, but also to circulation and to the tissue that holds it. That is why losing weight does not always reduce it, and why slim people can have cellulite.

How many sessions are needed?

Body treatments are done over several sessions, and the number depends on the type of cellulite and the technique. The doctor will propose a plan after the assessment, with no commitment.

Do habits help?

Yes. Exercise, a balanced diet, drinking water and avoiding long sedentary periods support any treatment and help keep what has been achieved.

What happens at the information visit?

It is a first visit with the doctor, at no cost, where we listen to you, examine the area and explain which options make sense in your case. There is no commitment to start any treatment.
