Uneven texture, pores and fine lines

With sun and time the skin loses evenness: pores become more visible and fine lines, redness and mild sagging appear. Each of these changes has a different cause, and the medical assessment decides what to treat first.

Treatments we offer

Facial laser

Facial laser covers treatments that apply laser light of different wavelengths to the skin. The devices most often used in aesthetic medicine combine a neodymium laser (Nd:YAG, 1064 nm) and an erbium laser (Er:YAG, 2940 nm), so that different indications can be treated with the same device.

Indications

It is used for uneven texture and pores, fine lines, mild facial laxity, acne scars, vascular lesions, rosacea and some pigmented lesions. The doctor decides the indication after the assessment.

Combined protocols

Some protocols combine several working modes in a single session: an intraoral mode for the fold area, a fractional mode for texture, deep heating for laxity and a superficial mode for skin tone. They are intended to treat several layers of tissue in one visit.

The session

It generally requires no anaesthesia and lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. Afterwards there may be redness for a few hours or days, depending on the mode used. Sun protection is essential.

Indicative protocol

Usually 3 to 4 sessions are advised, 3 to 4 weeks apart, with maintenance every six or twelve months. Changes are gradual and are assessed 3 to 6 months after the last session. Like any medical procedure, it can carry risks and side effects, which the doctor explains before the informed consent is signed.
