Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is a medical-aesthetic treatment that consists of the subcutaneous or intradermal injection of medicinal carbon dioxide (CO₂) in specific areas of the body or face. The injected CO₂ stimulates blood circulation, improves tissue oxygenation and activates cellular repair and rejuvenation mechanisms in a completely natural and safe way.

How does CO₂ act on skin and adipose tissue?

When CO₂ is injected into the tissue, the body interprets it as a signal of oxygen deficiency and responds by increasing local blood flow (Bohr effect). This increased circulation brings oxygen, nutrients and growth factors to the tissues, activates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, and stimulates lipolysis (fat breakdown) in adipose cells. Results include simultaneous improvement of skin, circulation and silhouette.

Main indications

Aesthetic: Cellulite (especially adipose and fibrotic), localized fat, stretch marks (white and red), abdominal, arm and thigh skin flaccidity.

Facial and periocular: Vascular dark circles (improves periorbital circulation), dull skin, superficial blemishes, neck and décolleté rejuvenation.

The procedure

Injections are performed with very fine needles. During the infiltration you may feel a local pressure or a slight burning sensation that lasts only a few seconds. The entire session lasts between 20 and 40 minutes. No anesthesia is required and the patient can return to work immediately.

Treatment protocol

For cellulite or localized fat: 6-10 sessions separated by a week. For dark circles under the eyes or facial skin: 4-6 biweekly sessions. The results are cumulative: they are visible from the 3rd-4th session and are consolidated at the end of the cycle.
