Laser tattoo removal

Tattoo removal uses a laser with very short pulses that breaks the ink into particles the body clears little by little. That is why it takes several sessions spaced weeks apart. How many are needed and how far it lightens depend on the colour and amount of ink, the age of the tattoo, the area and the skin type. We also treat leftover eyebrow micropigmentation.

How we approach it

Frequently asked questions

How many sessions are needed?

It varies a lot: a small black-ink tattoo usually needs fewer sessions than a large coloured one. The doctor will give you an approximate estimate on seeing it, because every tattoo responds differently.

Do all colours fade the same way?

No. Black and dark blue usually respond better; some colours such as green or yellow are harder. We assess it tattoo by tattoo.

What aftercare is needed after each session?

The area may redden or form small scabs for a few days. Keep it clean, do not scratch and protect it from the sun. We will give you the instructions in writing.

What happens at the information visit?

It is a first visit with the doctor, at no cost, where we listen to you, examine the area and explain which options make sense in your case. There is no commitment to start any treatment.
