Dehydrated skin: facial hydration

Dehydrated skin is skin that has lost water: it feels tight, shows fine lines and looks dull, even when it is oily. It is not the same as dry skin, which lacks oil. Sun, heating, air conditioning, smoking and age speed up that loss. Daily skincare helps, and when it is not enough, in consultation we can consider deeper facial hydration treatments.

How we approach it

  • Hydrating hyaluronic acid, in micro doses, for skin quality
  • Facial mesotherapy
  • Deep facial cleansing with hydration

More about each treatment

Frequently asked questions

Dry skin or dehydrated skin?

Dry skin produces little oil and is usually dry all the time. Dehydrated skin has lost water and can be any type, oily included. Telling them apart changes the care, and it is one of the things we look at during the assessment.

Does hydrating hyaluronic acid change your features?

It is not the same use as volume filling. It is applied in small amounts spread across the skin, with the aim of improving hydration and texture, not of changing the shape of the face.

What can we do at home?

Gentle cleansing, a moisturiser suited to your skin, daily sun protection and drinking water. If the skin still feels tight after that, an assessment is worthwhile.

What happens at the information visit?

It is a first visit with the doctor, at no cost, where we listen to you, examine the area and explain which options make sense in your case. There is no commitment to start any treatment.
